Hosted by Sacramento State’s Jazz Studies Department, the festival will run from 8am-8:30pm. It will include clinics and performances for regional school and college jazz groups, the opportunity to chat with jazz faculty members, information about upcoming events and so forth. Each night, from December 2 to December 23, Sac Brew Bike will host two 90-minute tours of the holiday lights in the Fab 40’s (from 5:30-7pm and from 7:30-9pm). Starting at 38th and J Streets, the ride will wind its way through East Sac while people peddle and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. About halfway through, there will be a pit stop at Hilltop Tavern for more adult provisions. Tickets are $20 per person.
