This Thursday, July 16, is the seventh annual 38th Street Blood Drive. As in all the previous years, this year’s drive is hosted by Pat & Alice McAuliffe. From 3-7pm, two bloodmobiles from BloodSource will be parked in front of the McAuliffe’s home at 1141 38th Street, collecting donations to help area hospitals meet the needs of patients over the busy summer months. The goal this year is to collect 45 pints.
I was very happy to give a pint last year and plan on doing it again this year! This time I’m going to save some room because the McAuliffe’s have more than just cookies and juice for the participants!
