The Taste of East Sac, one of my favorite events of the year, is this weekend on Saturday July 14th! This is the 10th year of the event. I’ve gone every year for the past 5 years and it just keeps getting better and better.  More than 40 local restaurants, breweries and wineries will be offering samples of the delicious treats that they serve up in their local establishments and it will be more than enough food and drink for everyone. There will be music, a silent auction and over 500 of your neighbors and friends mingling at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church located at 600 Alhambra Boulevard right across from McKinley Library. The event starts at 6:00 and ends at 9:00 so don’t be late for this...

We are just a month away from one of my favorite events of the year. This years Taste of East Sacramento 2017 will be the 9th year that the East Sac chamber has hosted this event. We’ve grown the event in leaps and bounds over the last several years, so much so that we’ve out grown our last two venues. This year it will be hosted in the brand new Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 616 Alhambra Blvd, right across from McKinley Library. It will start at 6:00 and run till 9:00 on Saturday July 22nd. As usual, there will be all of our favorite East Sac restaurants, breweries and wine from local vineyards as well as some of the newer providers of great tastes to our neighborhood. I’m going to get my tickets before the early bird pricing ends and I hope to see so many of my friends and neighbors at the event....

It has been way too long since I posted anything in my blog. I got busy and needed to focus on helping my clients buy and sell properties so I ended up neglected talking about the neighborhood that I love, live in and focus so much of my work in. What better post to get started again than talking about my favorite event, the Taste of East Sac! This year the Taste of East Sac will be at a new place and a new time. The Turn Verein will be the venue and the event will run from 6:00 to 9:00. All of our favorite restaurants will be there as well as many new ones. If you haven’t already bought your tickets there is still time to get them or you can risk it and see if any are still available at the door on the day of the...

As soon as Pops in the Park concludes, planning for the next year’s concert series immediately begins. A large source of funding for Pops in the Park is also one of the most delicious events in East Sac. This Sunday, June 28, more than 15 local eateries, wineries and breweries will be on hand at the 7th Annual Taste of East Sacramento at Shepard Garden and Arts Center, from 5-7pm. Just some of the establishments on hand this year are 33rd Street Bistro, Evan’s Kitchen, Cabana Winery, Oak Park Brewing and new Helvetia. In addition to the delicious small bites and sips being offered, attendees will enjoy live music by The Brian Dougherty Trio and displays of works by local artists. Admission is $40 in advance, $50 at the door. Tickets have traditionally sold out quickly in advance, so don’t wait. For more information, go to...
