My 10 Year Anniversary of Being a Real Estate Agent!

Posted by on Jan 24, 2020 in Uncategorized | 1 comment

I would like to take this moment to thank my 39 year old self.  Man, you were brilliant and you didn’t even know it. You took a huge leap of faith and it was the best decision ever! Saturday January 25th marks the 10 year anniversary of getting my California Real Estate license. It has been the best career choice that I have ever made!  I originally resisted it because I didn’t want to be in “Sales” but I found I could be a Consultant and Advocate for my clients instead of a salesman. I resisted it because I wanted a steady paycheck and the stability of an office job. I found that I thrive in the self employed environment, more so than I ever did in my corporate job.  I love what I do and I love all the clients that I get to help. Over these past ten years I’ve closed 248 purchases and sales for my clients. I’ve been in the top 10% of Sacramento agents ever since my first full year and most years I’m in the top 1% or 2%. Most of those transactions are for repeat clients or for people referred to me from past clients. Best of all, many of my clients have become good friends over the years.  I have the honor of working for one of the most respected real estate companies in Sacramento. Dunnigan Realtors, the Swayne family and my amazing fellow Dunnigan agents make it a blast to do this work during the best of times and make it more than bearable during the worst of times.  I never would have made the leap without the amazing support of my wife Cheryl who encouraged me to get my license, to quit my past job and do this full time, to strive to provide the best service I could imagine and to achieve this level of success without paying for any traditional advertising. Best of all, she also encourages me to take amazing vacations and get away from the work as often as possible.  I can’t see myself doing any other work. I truly have found my...

Pops in the Park 2016 Lineup

Pops in the Park 2016 Lineup

Posted by on Mar 10, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

We are less than 3 months away from the start of the Pops in the Park concert series in East Sac! If you’ve never been to one, you need to fix that this year. If you have been to them before you’ve probably already made it a tradition. My wife and I always make it to the McKinley Pops since we live just a couple blocks away and we usually make it to one or two additional concerts as well. We gather up a bunch of neighbors and stake out a place for a bonus block party gathering. We’ve usually got room for more friends so if you see us there, pull up a blanket and join...

The McKinley Park Food Truck Mania is back and ready for another great season of bringing neighbors together. On the second Friday of every month Councilman Jeff Harris and McKinley Park host a gathering of the best food you can buy off of a truck. They will be serving from 5:00 to 8:00 rain or shine, will have a beer garden (benefiting Front Street Animal Shelter) and have live music and a bounce house. I hope to see a lot of my neighbors out there again this...

East Sac Mercantile Happy Holiday Hour

East Sac Mercantile Happy Holiday Hour

Posted by on Dec 16, 2014 in East Sac, Events, Uncategorized | 0 comments

I’m loving the Shop Local festivities that I’m seeing in East Sac this year and the good people at the East Sac Mercantile are making it even easier to keep the shopping in the neighborhood. Join them this Thursday any time between 4:00 and 7:00 for a Holiday Happy Hour and enjoy some wine, hors d’oeuvres, gift wrapping, personal shopping assistance and a chance to win a limo tour of the holiday lights. It’s a great way to shop 12 local stores and knock out the final Christmas list when you have just one week till the big day. They are located on Folsom and 33rd Street, right next to my favorite place for a business lunch, the 33rd Street Bistro....
