March for the Dream

This coming Monday, January 18, is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In honor of his remarkable life and legacy, it is also the day when tens of thousands of Sacramentans will come together to walk, learn and work together to continue to make positive social change.

Starting at two different Sacramento locations (the “Extra Mile” at Oak Park Community Center at 8am, and official start at Sacramento City College at 9am), participants will march to the Sacramento Convention Center. There, the Diversity Expo will be in full swing from 10am-2pm, with numerous vendors, speakers and other activities. Food trucks will also be on hand, and participants will be shuttled back to their points of origin via Regional Transit buses.
