Jewelry lovers and rock hounds, rejoice! The Sacramento Mineral Society is holding their 78th annual Gem, Jewelry, Mineral and Rock Show this Saturday and Sunday, November 8 and 9, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center. Rocks of all shapes, sizes and colors will be on display, including minerals, fossils, beads, gemstones, meteorites, jade, slabs and cabochons.
Geologists of all ages and skill levels will find something useful in the array of tools, books and demonstrations, and find something special to take home via hourly drawings and silent auctions. And there’s plenty for kids to love, with grab bags, a build-a-bracelet workshop, scavenger hunt and more.
The show will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday, 10am-4pm on Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults, with accompanying children 12 and under free. For more information and to get $1 off admission, go to sacgemshow.com.
