It has been estimated that every 67 seconds someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s disease. This Saturday, July 25, the eighth annual East Lawn Fab 40’s 5K Run/Walk will be held to help those who are directly affected by Alzheimer’s (both sufferers and caretakers) by supporting the Alzheimer’s Association, and to raise funds for research to cure the disease. Kids’ fun runs begin just after 8am, while the main 5K starts at 8:30am.
The route starts and ends at East Lawn, making a roundtrip loop along M Street. Registration for the 5K is $30 for adults before July 19, $35 afterward and on race day. Fun run registration is $16. For more information on the race, call (916) 492-8966 or visit fab40s5k.org.
