The East Sac area has a fascinating history, both ecologically and socially. To find out more about how East Sac has developed over the centuries into what it is today, stop by Clunie Community Center this Wednesday, January 14, for a presentation by historian, author and former U.S. Forest Service ecologist Paula Peper.
From 6-7pm, Peper will discuss East Sac from its pre-white settlement days through formal neighborhood development in the 20th century. Particular attention will be paid to the trees in the area. There will also be light refreshments and a raffle for heirloom-quality books on East Sac. Admission is free. For more information, email contact@eastsacpreservation.org.
