This coming weekend at Shepard Garden and Art Center, Above the Fray- Traditional Hilltribe Art will present a wide array of handwoven and naturally-dyed traditional silks, cotton and hemp textiles, basketry, jewelry, used tools and ritual art personally selected from artisans and village markets in hilltribe Laos and Vietnam. All pieces are guaranteed to be authentic, both new and village-used.
The event will include education about the weaving traditions and ethnic cultures of the regions as well as Above the Fray’s personal stories and photos. 15% of profits will be donated to the Mines Advisory Group.
