Every May, Sacramento’s German Language School hosts a family-friendly celebration of spring, Maifest. This Sunday, May 3, come on by the Sacramento Turn Verein from 12 noon to 5pm to enjoy German Maypole dancers, German music, picnic food, the biergarten, Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and cake) and the special Maibowle drink (containing strawberries soaked in brandy). The kids will have fun with the puppet shows, face painting, crafts and story-telling.
