McKinley Park is renowned for its spectacular rose garden. But it doesn’t stay spectacular all on its own. To help keep the garden looking its best, Friends of East Sacramento and the McKinley Park Volunteer Corps will be holding a volunteer day this coming Saturday, May 2.
After a volunteer appreciation breakfast at 8:30am, rosarians and volunteers will get right to work deadheading, pruning, weeding and raking McKinley Park Rose Garden. Supplies will be provided, but volunteers are still encouraged to bring their own rakes, gloves and pruning shears if they have them. Volunteer RSVP’s are also encouraged.
