This Saturday, June 20, the third concert in this year’s Pops in the Park series will be performed by perennial favorite Mumbo Gumbo. Starting at 6pm, the band will share their danceable, joyful sound with all who come to McKinley Park. There will be something for everyone in the band’s repertoire of rock, country, zydeco, soul and afropop. The evening’s emcee is KCRA’s Tamara Berg.
Be sure to arrive early for the best spot. Admission is free, with proceeds from food and drink sales (courtesy of Burr’s Fountain, Roxie Deli & Barbeque, East Sac-Midtown Kiwanis Club, Bogle Vineyards and Hoppy Brewing Co.) going to fund East Sac neighborhood improvement projects.
