This Saturday, start the New Year off right and help your favorite rose garden to look its best. From 9am-1pm, McKinley Park Volunteer Corps is joining forces with Sacramento Rose Society for an epic “prune-a-thon” of the McKinley Library Rose Garden, to get the roses healthy and ready for plenty of spring blooming.
Even if you’re not a rose expert, members of the Rose Society will be on hand to show you how it’s done. And if you bring your own clippers, you can have them sharpened for free by a professional knife sharpener. RSVPs are recommended, but not required. For more information, call (916) 452-8011 or go to www.friendsofeastsacramento.org.
