Something truly delicious is coming…Sacramento Beer Week. Conceived six years ago as a way to celebrate the uniqueness of Sacramento area microbrews, this event has grown to include breweries and beer sellers from all around the world.
At 6pm on February 25, festivities begin at the Sacramento Brewers’ Showcase at Cal Expo. Then, over the course of the next few days, special beer-related events will “hop” around to various restaurants and breweries throughout the Sacramento area. Finally, the week wraps up on the afternoon of March 6 with the Capitol Beer Fest downtown. I haven’t looked through all of the events yet but I did see Track 7, Oak Park Brewing, New Helvetia and many other locals already on the schedule. Last year I got in the spirit and hosted an unofficial Beer Week event in my back yard!
