Since 2011, the Food Literacy Center has made it their mission to get Sacramentans to eat right and appreciate what they’re consuming. And since 2012, that mission has manifested itself in the Sacramento Food Film Festival—for two weeks, a truly delicious pairing of food-themed movies with actual food at locations all around Sacramento:
March 19: Festival Film Premiere at Goldfield Trading Post (screening winners of Sacramento Food Film Festival Shorts Contest)
March 20: Soul of a Banquet screening at Frank Fat’s
March 21: Urban farm short films at McClatchy Park
March 22: The Farmer and the Chef screening at Ruhstaller Brewery and Tap Room
March 24: Pizza, beer and screening at Federalist Public House
March 25: Terra Firma screening at Tsakopoulos (Central) Library Galleria and The Hundred-Foot Journey screening at Lucca
March 26: The Way Back to Yarasquin screening at Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters
March27: Family Movie Night- Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory screening at Clunie Community Center
March 28: Sriracha screening at Preservation & Co.
March 29: Closing Reception- Food Chains screening at Sacramento Turn Verein
