For the 18th year, Sacramento area museums are opening their doors to the public for reduced or free admission. This Saturday, February 6, over 25 museums are participating, with the goal of allowing more people to experience all the art, science, history and wildlife that Sacramento has to offer. Popular destinations include California State Railroad Museum, Aerospace Museum of California, Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town.
In East Sac, the Museum of Medical History will also participate, showcasing a wide range of interesting, odd and often gruesome exhibits on diseases, medical equipment and practices from the mid-1800s through today. For more information on all of the museums participating, and any special activities associated with Museum Day, go to sacmuseums.org.
